Why should I place a deposit on a litter that hasn’t arrived yet?
If you are very interested in one of our puppies, we suggest placing a deposit. A deposit simply holds your place in line to select your puppy. It does not lock you into a specific gender , color, etc. It just holds your spot in line to choose. We accept 6 deposits for each litter before they arrive. In general our females have 7-10 puppies, so there are always more than we have deposits for. As soon as everyone on the deposit list has selected their puppy, we advertise the rest of the puppies on a first come, first serve basis. Click here for our complete Deposit Policy.
Are the puppies left over after deposit selection not as good as the others?
No! All our puppies are high quality and have been raised with the same love and attention! They are just as lovely and just as sweet as those that have already been selected. If they are still available, it just means that they haven’t found their perfect fit yet!
If I place a deposit before the litter arrives, is it refundable if I don’t find something I want in the litter?
Yes! If the litter fails to produce what you are looking for, then your deposit will be transferred to another litter or completely refunded.
If I place a deposit on a puppy and then later change my mind, can I get my deposit back?
Deposits are both transferable and refundable until puppies reach 6 weeks of age. After that point it is only refundable in the case of a major life event, and at our discretion. If something comes up and we agree to refund your deposit, we will relist the puppy and once we have found a new home, we will refund your deposit, minus $100 for our time to relist and find a new home for the puppy.
How do I go about placing a deposit?
Call or text and we will get that set up for you! We accept Venmo, Cash, and Cashier’s check for deposits. Once we have received your payment you will be sent a purchase agreement showing that your deposit has been applied to the overall purchase price of the puppy.
When is final payment due?
Final payment is due at the time you pick up your puppy, or if we have agreed to drive to meet you, it is due the day before we start driving.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept Venmo, Cash and Cashier’s check. We do not accept personal checks at this time.
When do puppy selections take place?
Puppy selections generally take place between 4 and 5 weeks of age. We will contact you in the order the deposits were placed and set up an appointment for you to come meet the puppies and make your selection.
Do you ship puppies?
No, at this time we do not ship puppies, we are however, more than happy to meet you at the Boise Airport to transfer the puppy to you. All arrangements must be made by you and communicated to us. Meetings at the airport are arranged on a case by case basis over the phone.
Do I need to be there in person to select my puppy?
We encourage you to come and pick your puppy in person so that you can take time to interact and really get to know the puppies before making your selection. However, we realize this is not always feasible. In cases where you just can’t make it, we will ask detailed questions about what you are looking for and then utilize Facetime and pictures to aid you in the selection of your puppy.
Do you deliver puppies?
No, at this time we do not deliver puppies, however we do occasionally drive a short distance to meet people. The decision to drive is made on a case by case basis.
Can we meet Mom and Dad?
Absolutely. When you come to select your puppy, you will be able to meet and interact with both Mom and Dad. In the event that we have opted to use a stud from another breeding program, then only Mom will be available for you to meet.
Do Doodles shed?
Doodles do shed a little bit, however it is very minimal. They inherit amazing traits from their poodle parent, including minimal shedding and a partially hypoallergenic coat. You will find hair in their bed and in their favorite haunts around the house, but you will not be constantly inundated with it. As with any dog this will be in proportion to the brushing and grooming they receive.
Will my Doodle need to be groomed?
Yes! You will need to brush their coat every few days as well as give them a full grooming 3-4 times a year. In the summer you will probably want to give them a summer “haircut” to help keep them cool.
What is the difference between an F1 and an F1B?
An F1 means that your puppy is 50% poodle and is the product of 2 purebred dogs. An F1B is a doodle that has been bred back to a poodle, resulting in a puppy that is about 75% poodle.
Will these puppies be good around kids?
Yes! We do our very best to work with breeds that are known to be good family dogs. We have kids too, and don’t want to sell you any puppy that we wouldn’t be comfortable having in our family.
What is the difference between placing a deposit and being placed on the “contact list?”
A deposit holds your place in line to select a puppy from the next available litter. Our contact list is simply a list of people who wish to be contacted either when we are expecting a litter, or when they arrive. If you decide to place a deposit after being contacted, you will be able to select your puppy from what is left after those with deposits have made their selection.
How do I get my name on the contact list?
Just send us a text or give us a call and tell us which puppies you are interested in and we will add you to our list.
